PPE resins offer excellent dielectric strength stability across temperatures. This is an important performance parameter for AI busway electrical insulation.

Why not choose the historically utilized GF PA66 for today's AI busway insulation?
  • High moisture absorption. Polyamide acts like a sponge, soaking up ambient moisture that can degrade its dielectric performance and lead to warpage.
  • Dimensional instability. For consistent performance, busway insulation profiles must be straight and uniform. PA66 is prone to in-mold shrinkage and post-mold warpage that can skew part geometries and generate excessive scrap.
  • Extra weight. Glass fiber reinforcement used in PA66 to enhance stiffness adds weight and bulk to busway insulation profiles.

NORYL resins (PPE) can withstand high heat, humid conditions generated by extreme AI power densities and rapid load fluctuations. NORYL resins exhibit 97% less moisture absorption vs polyamide 66 (PA66).
